This was part of the Bronte Society Centenery Celebrations held at Haworth in June 1993. This hilariously tongue in cheek event, devized and organized by the novelist Charlotte Cory, gained much publicity (it was featured in the Daily Mail) though not everyone saw the funny side or realized it was a brilliant parody of Bronte Society events. Nevertheless a lot of harmless fun was had by all and a book of all the entries and photographs is lodged at the Bronte Parsonage Museum
